Series
After a year of painting every day, the series ‘365/25’ is complete. On January 1st 2025, 365/25 began: one stroke of paint on a wooden panel each day. What started as a simple gesture grew into a yearly cycle of twelve paintings — a visual register of time, presence, and repetition. When a day is missed, that stripe remains black; in this way, the work records both presence and absence.
These twelve paintings take physical form in April in the independent solo exhibition Relative Threshold at the atelier of Erik van Lieshout (Rotterdam Zuid). As a closing piece, a 24-hour mural painting will be realized on site, with a new stripe painted every hour.
